Beautiful Colored, Hand Etched Horsehair Pottery created by Navajo Artist Ronald Smith from Farmington New Mexico. Ronald comes from a long line of potters and  learned from his mother & sisters. We bought our 1st pot from him when he was only 13 tears old.

Approximately 5.75" tall. 3.75"wide. Opening is 2."

Each handcrafted pot starts from a raw casting. It is then painted and in some cases, etched with a pattern and then fired. Horse Hair is then arranged along the pot before fired again. The cindered remains of the hair form the web looking designs on the pot.
